sup party people?

Let's start with this... go look these songs up and then, and ONLY then can you keep reading...
things on repeat:
the rocket summer - do you feel
ke$ha - dancing with tears in my eyes
B.o.B featuring hayley williams - airplanes
mae - falling into you

these all sound SICK on my new speakers in my little car! the wonderful rosscoe came over sunday night and after a lot of pizza (shout out of thanks to perry for that!) installed new rear speakers (that have been sitting in their box since CHRISTMAS) for me!!! nothing like installing electronics in the dark - especially while completely in the trunk of my car... YAY for that flip down seat... point being -THANKS ROSS- you're the best!!!

confession : i've been going to the tanning bed- i'll be the first to admit that i used to make fun of people that went... the one time i had been (back in high school) i hated it. but i've been going with one of my girls who is getting married in a couple of weeks... and i LOVE IT!Granted, the girl i've been going with is fair skinned and has this gorgeous strawberry red hair and light blue eyes, so i feel a little guilty for having tan lines already ;)anyways...
my skin aways breaks out and i always look forward to summer because the sun helps my skin (not sure how that works but i always have happier skin in the summer). going to the tanning bed has had the same sort of effect and my skin is happier! YAYYYY! anyone who has ever had an issue with reoccurring breakouts knows that this is SERIOUS blessing. im also thinking about just spending the money and trying this proactive business as well. my skin is damaged from bad breakouts through middle and high school and i tend to wear make up that is a little more covering but i HATE it, and i want to just feel a little more comfortable in my own skin - LITERALLY...so wish me luck, i'll keep you posted on how that works out for me...point being, the tanning bed is pretty awesome, and if you buy your lotion from walmart (yes they sell legit tanning bed approved lotion that WORKS, and i KNOW y'all can get down with spending $4-$8 dollars on a bottle of lotion instead of $60...) it's all pretty affordable. SO, if you're feeling like a little color would boost your confidence going into swim suit season, give it a try :)

running. i can't run, i hate to run, im out of shape and i discovered a couple weekends ago that if anyone ever comes after me im going to be royally screwed bc i won't get too far before im all out of breath and that'll be the end of things. SO i looked into this so called couch to 5k thing... and i have resolved... ready for this? to TRY it. try...not commit my life and soul to it yet but to give it a try... warm weather is here so i have no excuse to NOT go for a run. i also need to get on tis toning up thing... swim suit time is way too close for comfort and apparently my body changed where it's storing the "in case of emergency or ice age" sustenance in the past few months, time to get off my butt and work a little... and yes, im scared to try to get myself back into shape, so prayers would be awesome.

school is ALMOST over... tmw is the last day of my journalism lab :( i actually have loved that class! but before 5pm tmw i hav to do an interview, write a story based on said interview, finish a slideshow, and write a short story ab a lecture i attended recently... it's going to be a long day; but my reward for all that? i get to see papa isaac tomorrow!!! (in case you missed the memo on my africa obsession - isaac runs canaan chidren's home in uganda where i - and several others- stay during summer missions projects, it's become a family kind of thing and isaac is my african dad!) that's the motivation to get me through tomorrow - a bear hug and the tears i know i'll shed bc i miss my munchkins- it's bittersweet and i cannot wait to see him!

this weekend is going to be awesome as well btw... more to come on that as it unfolds... but it involves a big barbecue with uganda team people, MA will be in town from hawaii, kristina may make it to town to stay with me to see papa ANDDDDD my little brother is going to prom for the first time!!! im a little excited ;) anyways, time to sleep, early day tomorrow... ps this post contains some of the things i am frustrated by in myself... i almost took those things out, but then i thought maybe it's worth sharing with you guys - plus if i put my commitments and decisions out there for you to see- maybe...just maybe i will feel like i NEED to try to stick to them. here's hoping!
